Description
In antiquity, the lake was much larger than it is now, extending further to the south and west and occupying around 700 km2. It had no mouth connecting it to the Mediterranean, being fed with Nile water via a number of canals. regardless of its size and state now, it still remained a beautiful sight to catch. Growing up in a town nearby, the artist could not get enough of its captivating view. She put it in paint to be able to see no matter where she was.
